The Broadcast Cable Credit
Association, Inc., a subsidiary of
Media Financial Management Association
(formerly BCFM: Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association),
represents credit and collection professionals from more than
550 TV, radio, cable,
system operators, newspaper, and magazine
organizations in the U.S. and Canada. BCCA functions as a central
clearinghouse for credit information on advertisers, agencies and buying
services, both locally and nationally.
Mission Statement: BCCA is the media
industry’s premier provider of credit information, education, and networking
opportunities which enables members to efficiently manage credit risk and
increase profitability.

update on a report or for a new report investigation, please make sure you
check your spelling and that all the information you are providing on the
form is correct. It is important that the Credit Investigators have correct
phone, fax, email and addresses for all your references. When this
information is not provided or incorrect, it delays getting the information
back to you in a timely manner. Please give BCCA as much information as you
can. You can always fax a signed credit application to 847/784-8059
or email it to us at
info@bccacredit.com.

Liability Language Update (as of
12/20/06):
It has come to our attention that some advertising
agencies are modifying (or exploring the opportunity to modify)
their liability language for media buys. While some agencies may
send written notifications to alert you to the changes, others may
simply update the language on new orders.
We encourage you to be proactive and ask the
appropriate departments for copies of all notifications and
liability language. BCFM and BCCA continue to recommend that media
companies protect their interests by adopting a position of joint
and several liability. Accepting orders which contain other
language is a business decision based upon your company’s parameters
for risk. What you do not want is to learn that, by virtue of
accepting a media buy, you have accepted liability language that is
in conflict with your company’s credit policies.
